Want to get more out of your color?  I will focus this workshop on the use of color as space and light, and fundamentals for plein air painting, as well as provide plenty of one-on-one instruction at your easel for those who wish it, or just painting time for yourself.

I'll also demonstrate the vibrance, flexibility and freedom of gouache paint to capture what we see, though you're welcome to bring your own medium of choice for outdoors. No acrylics or oils for painting indoors for this one, please. 

We'll have plenty of time for relaxing and time to discuss our work.

What's Included

You'll book your reservation in choice rooms held for us at a special price, at the beautiful Overleaf Lodge in Yachats, Oregon. All rooms have a beach view, and either a balcony or patio and direct beach entry.

Rooms include breakfast. While you're there, you might want to book a spa and massage!

Box lunches and one evening meal are also included in the price.

What is Gouache?

Gouache is a water-soluble medium similar to watercolor, but toothier and opaque (so you can paint light colors over dark colors!). Gouache is a wonderfully flexible medium that allows for transparency and a wide range of texture possibilities. We'll have an option for purchasing a gouache painting kit, if you'd like to jump in and try this exciting medium.
